Body lift Electrical Issues ???
Hey guys i did a body lift a few days ago and since then my volt meter has not stayed consitant. For example, when i roll down the windows the volts drop from 14 at idle to 12. It does that for most things, turning on the air, headlights....everything causes a voltage drop.... I must have messed something up during the BL. Anyone know where to start looking?
It better not be the Alternator lol its only 3 weeks old...still just a baby...
you wouldnt happen to have a list of grounds would you?
I checked the 2 off the negative terminal and they seemed to be fine. What other ones are there?

did you disconnect any when you did the body lift ? ive seen people disconnect some while doing the Body lift .
it could also be a defected one to . I changed a starter once and it did the same thing
best thing you can do is get it load tested

I'd bum a Multimeter off someone if you don't already have one. And check the battery while using our PWs. I'd also recommend doing "The Big 3"... someone else can give more info one that but I think it involves Alternator's positive to battery positive, battery's negative to chassis, and engine ground to chassis. Basically just getting bigger and better cables.
If memory serves, and I believe it does, there is only one electrical "extension" you need to make when installing a body lift. It is on the firewall, on the passenger side. You might want to recheck that one since you say you have noticed the problems since the install.
