Default Brake Switch loacation and Wiring

I have a 2004 4-door 4 wheel drive Blazer that I am installing a brake control in. I need to hook a wire to the cold side of the brake switch.

Where is the brake switch?
What does it look like?

I looked under the dash but I am not sure if I have located the brake switch. I saw a connector with a bunch of wires. It's attached to the the brake pedal near the top. If this is the brake switch how do I know which wire to connect the brake control to?

Where would be the best place to run the wires through the firewall? I didn't see any holes to get the wire through to the engine compartment.

Mine was pre-wired with out the brake control wire.

Thanks
Jim

its like a reverse button somewhere on the front top side of the brake pedal. so when you depress the brake pedal the button will actually come up unlike pushing it which is how most buttons work.

most brake switches just have two wires going to them (though i have seen more) basically you need to find the wire that sends 12v when the pedal is pressed down. so if theres more then 2 wires you will need to figure out which wire has power when the brakes are applied

It's so tight up there it's hard to see. I will take another look.

What's the best way to run the wire from under the dash to the engine compartment?

Thanks
Jim
