Default clicking noise

there's a clicking noise that sounds just like my turn signal. it comes on sporadically, especially when i make a turn. someone mentioned it could be some sort of relay? any ideas? '98 Blazer

most likely is the multifunction switch has internaly shorted out i had the same problem and fixed it by replaceing the switch. locate the relay/flasher and check for power with the turn signals off, if theres power present on the switching side the switch is shorted and needs to be replaced.
