Default Dash not working

Hey guys, I'm new here. I have an '84 S10 Blazer Tahoe 4x4, and I recently started having problems with the dash.

Nothing works except the speedo, when I turn my key on the check engine light does not come on, it basically acts as if the ignition is off. Turn my lights on and the buzzer starts going. The truck starts up and drives fine.

I did find my OSU wire ripped out by my front drive shaft ( wrapped around it and yanked it ).

Is there a fuse I should check? Should I replace the OSU wire?

I just got ripped off getting this truck, I traded my nice Camaro for it and dude lied through his teeth about everything on this thing, but it's got a nice body and interior so I'm willing to fix it up.

First Check the ground for the cluster. it is located on the firewall above the e-brake.

I am guessing you have the analog dash? (I am not sure when they started the digi cluster in first gens)

and, dont feel ripped off completely, a nice body and interior on first gens is hard to come by.

Yeah it's analog, I hate digi dashes. I'll be sure to check for that ground, where you're talking may possibly be rusted out, I also found out my alternator is bad, could that cause such a problem? I guess we'll find out when I replace it.

Well the surface of the body is nice . It's had new panels welded on.

the alt would not cause that problem.

You hate the digis? whyyy? I love the one in the jimmy. But then again, it still works after 195k miles LOL
Going to be changing it to blue this summer, get rid of that horrible green.

Ahhh yes, blue would be nicer.

Sorry for the late post guys but I fixed the dash problem, it was the ign/gua fuse that was out, I replaced it and the dash worked fine.

Now my ECMB fuse keeps blowing lol.

She stopped running on me last night 30 minutes from home, so now I gotta tow her home.

Oh and I don't like digi dashes because I like to look at guages that go up and down smoothly haha, plus old digi dashes are slow on the speed rating
