DIY/HOW TO - Install LED gauge lights! + Cool Toggle Switch!
#21
I just fixed all of the links. Shotnva777 had organized his photobucket account, dropping all of the photos into his 'My Truck Stuff' folder.
As far as getting the thumbnail to display from the site pictures, the way I do it is submit the thread with the attachments, then edit (not advanced edit) the post and copy & paste the attached images as they were displayed in the attachment area at the bottom of the post, pasting them into their appropriate location in the post. Not necessarily ideal, but it isn't that much more cumbersome than flipping windows to use Photobucket or other image hosting links.
As far as when I come across pictures that were posted in other threads, I typically will just link to the thread that pops up in the upload window.
I pushed hard for off-site photo hosting back in the days of ASP and after the transition to vbulletin because ASP handled attachments rather poorly and wasn't setup to resize the images so it was causing bandwidth problems. The move to vBulletin resulted in all attachments being lost which sucked horribly as well. Lots of useful information was lost. As a result, I was very reluctant to use attachments, but, because I don't see IB moving to another forum software anytime soon, I have been trying to get many of the posts in the Tech Article section moved over to site hosted images instead of my photobucket account. These pictures are the primary reason for my yearly payment to photobucket.

And Shotnva777 aka Chris, REALLY appreciates this. I hate that, organizing your photos one day and not even realizing your messing up links that could go months, even years (easily) back. Sucks when you find a "dead" link like this googling around the net, cuz you have the info but not the pictures! Anyways, again thanks!

I spy a tiny ammount of white light in there. Now you need to do the switches by your headlight switch.
