Unhappy Dome light lense cover

I had to take off my dome lense cover to replace my burnt out bulb.I re installed it with a lumen(white) bulb. Now I can`t seem to figure out how to re install the lense cover.Has anyone had this problem?I`ve tried and tried but can`t seem how to figure it out! 2001 LS Blazer

it should go on the way it came off.. usually the tab that faces the front of the vehicle is the one to go in first, then you tweak the light cover to get the back part in.
If that does not work, try the other way.

i`ve tried and tried but no luck.I wish it would just pop in like most lense`s.The way it`s made looks like it snaps in from the inside instead of the out side.I can slide the lense in ,but both sides have 2 grooves in it.It`s hard to describe what i`m talking about.I do have a cargo light lense in the back, this one pops off and just snaps back on.

I know exactly what you are taking about you just need to try harder, get one side in, and push from the other side in the direction of the side that is already in, the plastic of the dome light cover will bend enough to get it on.

I haven`t tried it yet again. But yea talk about a biT**When I originally took it off
I used a small screwdriver to pry it out. That was the easy part.So what your saying is the cover has to be all the way on the inside in order for it to work?Let me ask you this..How is the housing fastened on the headliner?I don`t see any visible screws or anything. But I went on LMC Truck.com.The diagram looks like it has a plastic push pin style fastener similar to the interior door panels.I always wonder how they install these parts the first time, then go from there.

I figured out how to reinstall the dome light cover. The housing itself pops off of the dome light frame. That way you can install the cover from the inside, by just snapping it on.When done it just snaps back on the housing itself. The rear cargo light cover just snaps off and on.
