Dome Light Override and DRL Cut-Off
Hi all
I'm very new here (today)
My Blazer has no override for the dome light. It's driving me nuts. I am not finding answers to many of my questions on UTube because there seems to be many differences in what is under the dash from my 96 chevy blazer 4X4.
I managed to find and "cut-to-insert-switch" the wire in my 88 Mustang GT but caused a lot of issues with the fog lights and headlights. I would rather not repeat that on my Blazer.
I have been under the dash looking for the DRL module (no luck) and the dimmer wiring for the quad headlight/HiBeam mod. My probe is just not sharp enough to find the right two wires among the other 50.
Any advice on the dome light or other mods would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thank you blazen_red_4x4
I was hoping someone here knew about an easy way to kill the dome/courtesy lights without chopping into the harness [or cutting and inserting a kill switch to just the "ONE" right wire). I found a big pile of schematics online but not specific to my 4x4 so no chopping - yet.
The DRL module is definitely not present but the fuse panel to the left of instrument cluster has #15 / 10 amp fuse on what they call DRL / Fog lights (canada). Since no other destinations were shown, I pulled it and WALLAH !
No more DRLs and no apparent "side effects."

Still stuck on the "quad headlight mod."
I saw a U-tube on tying the Low Beam "on wire" to the Hi Beam, dimmer switch wire on the column so that the Low Beams stayed on when the Low Beams were switched to Hi . This makes up for the loss of low beams when you really want MORE light.
Has anyone here done it?
