I have a 1999 Blazer that was given to me by a relative and I was wondering if you can leave the back of the blazer open to sit in without the battery going dead? Is this where the Dome Override Button is used? I know this question might sound a little stupid, but sorry. Trying to get familiar with the vehicle.

Yes it is.. When you click the dome override button the lights wont turn on whether or not you open the doors or not..

 

Push the button and open the back to find out

 

Also, if you click it twice (in,out,in,out) it will turn off your automatic headlights as well (until you click it twice again, or restart the truck). But yes, when you click it, your dome lights wont turn on for any reason whatsoever.
