Default Door jamb switch

Can anyone tell me how to remove the door jamb switch on my 2003 Blazer? It looks as if you just pry it out, but when I tried it seemed there is something retaining it.

It probably has 'ears' on it that pop out to hold it in place. Maybe try some flat precission screw drivers & a thin blade like a putty knife. Pull it out a bit with the putty knife & use the screw driver/s to push the ears into the switch housing.

Default Door jamb switch - wire

I'm, trying to replace the driver side door jamb switch. Same 2003 Blazer.

The clowns at the car wash broke it off and just jammed the cable and connector into the dark infinity of the space under the fuse panel.

Any ideas as to how to retrieve the connector and wire?

Thanks in advance.
