You would be better off going with an AD244. Those alternators will not put out much more than a stock CS130 at idle. The AD244 will put out close to or over 100 amps at idle.

You can get a AD244 to put out close to 200 at idle and 320 at 1200rpm. It'll cost ya a pretty penny tho. Close to $600

i'll be looking for something at about 200 total amps. i plan on eventually adding a bigger amp for my sub stage. i'm thinking 2500 watts rms and two trunk batteries so i need the bigger. i don't want $600 worth of an alternator although i might get one for a fullsize and swap it to the next truck. who knows. i figured $100 isn't anything big to replace something thats going bad on me

Zed, i just want you to know how much i hate you. you just made me look at the big boy alternators and now i want this https://www.dcpowerinc.com/8237-270-sp.html

we'll see what happens after my next paycheck and christmas haha. probably do the battery/batteries then.

side tracking me already guys, i do a good job of that on my own

Haha. Believe me, I hate myself when I'm online lol. I want everything.

For $100, its better than stock and OEM fit so its not like you need a mechanic to put it in.

Thats a nice alt you posted. I looked at them a few times. Trying to find something a little closer to me lol.

saddest thing is that i look at just upgrading my speakers which turns into, "well this is what i want but these are only $50 more", then its "my amp isn't powerful enough for these so i need a new one", followed by "my stock electrical is having huge issues as is, i need to upgrade that".... its like $800 every time i even contemplate something

after messaging the seller a few times i have gotten some more information from him. it is oem replacement with no modification. 160 amps at 1200 rpm. not sure of idle yet.

and.... he also sells a 200 amp ad244 for $140 shipped. this is one of those things i'm tempted to buy just to check out.

here is the link to the ad244

Still not my choice, but a heck of a deal non-the-less. Get the idle amps before tho, cuz that could be why they are cheap lol.

i will don't worry. you know what though, i have a good job now, i'm working between 30-40 hours a week and because i'm living at home i have minimum expenses. my money is car stuff and repairs mostly so.

if it doesn't work like he says it does, i'll file the paypal complaint crap and all that fun stuff
