Default encoder motor plug chaos

Hey guys I think i found the problem to my 4hi problem on my blazer ...

Well i crawled under to check these wires and this is what i found

wire number 4 (brown white) has been cut
the mechanics my uncle hired when he had this truck must of been real dumb

Any ways i traced this wire and I found it going up the frame
till i found it cut by the driver side wheel well .... (wtf)

is this wire suppose to be going up with the other wires? or should i be looking around the wheel well area .

I will fix this the right way once i find the other end (solder and heat shrink)

other then that im loss on this ...
makes me wanna call my uncle and asked who worked on this truck

Ive been looking for wiring diagrams but had no luck Im still on the search for them

Edit: I think i found the other ends

these 2 are for the modes

and this is to give power to the encoder motor

it looks to me like it was cut but then they used a wire tap to splice it back together... Im asuming your talking about the wire with the blue plastic thing on it? Just cut that thing out and solder teh ends of the wire back together.

but high trys to engage but it wont . Its like the motor doing have power to do so

Im currently uploading a video

Edit: here is the video 1st engage was 4low then 2hi then trying to go into 4hi

you know i was thinking Possibly the tcase shafts stuck ?

or can it be cause of the vac leak i have in my hvac controls ? I doubt its this tho

I tryed almost every thing. I Need to get some more heatshrink so i can finish the connection in the engine bay right now i have it taped up

SO I continued on this problem today. I have constant 5 volts to each wire

The other day she engaged into 4hi in flying colors. Now its giving me the little movement again when engaging into 4hi.

4lo and 2hi work great. I soldered the broken wires but i dont think that was the problem... Unless I have an other broken wire somewhere. I need to check the voltage at the encoder motor.

I measured the resistance on single ground and it was coming up 0

Edit: I think i found the problem. I pulled the encoder harness off.. I have good resistance om the grounds and 4.9 volts to each Single wire.

Now I check the Thick red wire (the power for the encoder motor) When I press 4lo I get 12 volts When I press Hi the multimeter says LO . I guess that means Im having a drain there.

Looks like fun. I will check the voltage at that plug on the jimmy when the wifey gets home.

so its not at the switch, get the voltages at the fuse as well.
