Onstar is a monthly subscription type of deal isn't it? Do you have a subscription?

The OnStar system for 2000 is an analog cell system. The FCC does not allow analog cell usage anymore so all of the central equipment was turned off in 2008 and removed by the phone companies and OnStar.

Beginning in approximately 2005 GM vehicles with OnStar were equipped with a digital/analog combination system. This allowed them to work on either system. Some vehicles prior to 2004 were upgradeable by the dealer to the new digital system. GM offered the upgrade kit cheaply but stipulated that you pay a 2-year contract fee for the service.

You could check with a dealer to see if the 2000 Blazer has an upgrade kit available.

Don't think so, the wiring is probably different and the antenna changed.
