Default fuel pump and fuel control relays overheating

This one stumps me....both the fuel relays in the glove box overheat and burn out.
I threw a code for the pump relay so foolish me picked up two new BWD relays instead of OEM relays. For financial reasons after those two burned out went to a pull a part and grabbed two relays from a blazer with only 80k on it. Same thing. I'm thinking short somewhere but I have no clue where to start looking.
Also does anyone know how to check the timing on this beast?

95 blazer 4.3 w

Thanks y'all

Update...
I replaced the relays again with the cheaper BWD brand reason being I wanted to find out exactly which relay is burning up.it is the relay on the left but I'm.not sure if its the pump or control relay.if I knew which one it was id have a better idea of where to start....

BUMP!!!!
