Default Gauge Help!!!

I have a 87 S10 Blazer. On my dash all the gauges I have are oil pressure, battery, temperature, mph and gas. No RPM gauge. I was either looking to add a RPM gauge (probably from Advance Auto or similar store) or to re-do all the gauges and put in a new custom gauge panel? If I go with just the RPM gauge, are those hard to install or fairly easy? Advice would be great!

Installing an aftermarket tack is easy. You can always use a large clamp and band it to the steering column. The hook up is really easy. One wire for light, power and pickup. Hardest part is how do you want to mount it and running the wires through the firewall.

My first car was a corolla that my cousin had before me. She was a five speed standard that came without a tach so he put an aftermarket one on her. If my memory is correct it was wired into her coils somehow?!

All my gauges work, It just doesnt have an RPM gauge on it. I wanted to either add a new tach on the dash, or just upgrade the the entire panel so that I have all new gauges. Ill put pics on tomorrow so you guys can see what Im talking about.

Get an A Pillar mount tach for that year etc of what you have, It'll come with destructions err instructions I mean.
They mount on the A Pillar (window frame) & look cool.

This is my dash. I looked online and in the manual book for the truck, there is a panel like mine but the gas is moved to the side and in place of that, there was an RPM gauge, like below.

My dash is the one on the left.

I can either find a dash like the one on the right at a junk yard, add a new gauge and put it on the steering column or on the dash, or just take my dash out, and redo the panel with new gauges.
