Default Headlight problem!!!

So I picked up a 99 blazer lt for free because it was having major headlight problems ..so after some tinkering with it and process of elimination I narrowed it down to what I thought was the dimmer switch .so I got a bran new one and replaced it and the head lights worked just fine ,well that is for about four days and now they are doing the same thing again the high beam indicator doesn't come on and they won't turn on by flicking the switch either..I am lost once again ..it has a bull dog electric start could something by wired wrong there ? Any input please feel free to reply thnx !!

Try searching around, the answers are probably here.

Sounds like something is running a higher than normal power & frying the switch or something in the circuit. Or intermittently grounding out.
