what would make the headlights stay on we ith the key on thay turn off when key off I'm not talking bout the driver ingredient lights but I'm taking bout the headlights thay don't turn off when the switch is off..headlights stay on ..even with the switch is off

There are a few possibilities:

Stuck relay
Bad command to relay (faulty switch/module/wire)
Bad ground
Short to power after the relay

I would start by pulling the relay to see if the headlights go out and if so then we need to find out id its the relay or the command to the relay coil.
