Default Helluva time with fuel level wiring

I have traced the problem of my fuel gauge sending unit down to the wiring.

Specifically from the connector at the back of the trans up to the PCM sort of.

What is the path that it takes from the back of the trans up. I can't see it. I can't feel it. I don't want to pull the engine or drop the trans. At time point I don't have any help to so I can't tug on any wiring. I don't have a tone generator.

connection or splice number would help?

Default

frigin found it. up in the wires by the dipstick. same bundle that runs by the right front of the engine and under the evap for the ac to the pcm.

cut into it there where the tie strap to the engine is.

there is 3 purple wires in that bundle. one goes the the front of the engine that is not it. one is purple with white strip that's not it. the one one is solid purple. cut into that one tested and then ran if all the way to the back to the tank. tied everything together and will have to wait and see. but I think i still have a bad sending unit. but at least now I know because when placing the resisters in the connector for the sending unit it did respond on the gauge. also could be a bad connector. I have had it off 3-4 times already and it was butt-spliced together when I first pulled it off and the wires on either side of the butt-splice were different a gauge.

who frigin knows
