how to take off the cover of rear dome light and to the wire for 3rd brake light

'02 just snaps off (99 and 02 should be the same, if I remember right). But I can't remember if it's straight down or kind of a down & back motion. I think I used a down&back motion, grabbing the trim at the front and kind of rolling it out in a sudden movement. But putting it back was straight in, so maybe that's not right.
No screws tho.
