I need help please fuel gage reads way past fuel

What do u mean u dnt understand what I was saying? About grounding the lead wire? I looked on our software at work. All data said to test if the fuel gauge is working disconnect the lead wire to sending unit (purple) and ground it. Then turn the key on n c what the fuel gauge does. If it drops to E then all connections r Gud and it's a sending unit problem. If it stays at full or beyond then it's either a wire that's bad between fuel tank n gauge. If wires r all Gud then it's the fuel gauge it's self.

Jerry, I was referring to the admins post about not understanding what he was saying. I understand your post just fine.
