Default Interesting door sensor

Ok guys i got a wierd one here, its kinda interesting. you know the door open/ closed sensor in side of the dash? Well mine is pushed all the way into the dash, so it has no way to know when the door is open or closed, but it still works just fine, as in, when i open the door the interior lights come on, and when i close the door they shutoff. Its really odd! Im not gonna mess with it though! If it aint broke dont fix it, right? Haha has anyone seen anythin like this?

There's actually two sensors for the front doors on the S-series trucks. The first is the one on the side of the dash, and the second is part of the door handle, and it triggers whent the door handle is lifted.
