Default interior light issues

I just purchased a 2001 Chevy Trailblazer for my 17 year old and noticed there was a few problems with it after I purchased it

it's used so I knew in advance there would be some minor issues so I'm trying to iron them out

When I open the door or at night I notice there is no lights that come on in the interior head area except the driver information part of my overhead lighting and these three buttons (on has a house on it)

when I press any of the over head lights to turn them on nothing happens.

I replaced a fuse inside the interior fuse box (#12) in hopes that was the issue .. I was wrong

I also noticed that the rear view mirror was not the original that came with the truck and there's a cord of sorts with a block hanging down where that mirror should be.

Also when Visors when you pull them down I think there is supposed to be lights that come on and those do not work either

I'm thinking that plug that is hanging down is the cause of those lights not working but I'm not sure exactly so was throwing it out there
