Hey everyone,

I've had electrical issues with my 00 Jimmy as of late. After my front seats both stopped working (issue when you're 6'4") I tried finding a short under the drivers side carpet as so many have had issues there. And fuses, etc etc. Ended up taking it into a shop, who determined a loom in the back seat was the issue. Seats work great.

But a few weeks later, the lock button on my keyless entry works about 50% of the time. If I press it twice, I hear the typical honk, but the locks won't go. I read on here that the control for the keyless is in the drivers side door, and that window too, decides to not roll up once a month. Very odd.

But the real kicker is my interior lights, which refuse to work when until the vehicle is warm and has been moving for a while.

My sunroof had a leak for a little bit, and I'm wondering if some water found it's way into the dome light or something.

PLEASE offer some places to look. This is driving me insane!!

 

The RKE module is attached to the driver side lower dash hush panel right behind the DLC (data link connector). I don't have the time to dig up wiring diagrams now, but if I remember correctly, those accessories use similar circuits somewhere down the line whether that is in the grounds or

A search for 'dash+ground' in either the 'lighting & electrical' and/or '2nd gen tech' section should turn up those locations. You may also be able to find schematics for the windows and RKE by searching for 'window+wiring+schematic' and 'RKE+wiring+schematic' (adding or removing words with a '+' sign between them will allow for more or less specific searches).

If/when I have time later, I'll see if I can dig up those specific diagrams. I can't get to my photobucket account during the day though (work filters).
