I was wondering if anybody had any ideas on how to hook my parking lights up to my OEM keyless entry system on my 1997 Chevrolet Blazer? When I lock and unlock the doors no lights come on or off with the exception of the dome light. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Isn't the system supposed to turn the parking lights on and off when the "open" command is given?

 

thats what i thought too but apparently not. Ive seen others ask similar questions but no definitive answers yet

 

On my 1999, the parking lights blink on and off when I send the open command. I would look at the wiring diagrams for at least 1999 and up for how it was done for those years.

I have the manuals but don't have time to look the schematics up for you. If no one else has them handy, I might find time to find them for you.

If nothing else, you might use a relay that is controlled by the dome light circuit to control a switch for the parking lights that is in parallel to the parking light switch on the main head-lamp switch.
