I've seen many posts for `96 `97 but I'm not sure it's the same as the `04.

Anyway, I just bought a 04 Blazer Xtreme and the keyless entry/alarm system doesn't seem to work at all. I replaced the batteries in the fobs and tried to reprogram using the holding the unlock and key method but that doesn't do anything at all. Also, From what I understand I should be able to test the system buy opening the drivers window, lock doors using the elect lock on door, then close the door and then it should be armed. Then reach in and manually open door and the alarm should sound. And of coarse I don't see the lights blink twice like it should.
I do see a red light blinking on the stereo when every things off.
I hope some one can tell me what to look for and where to find it.

Can anyone tell me if I might be able to add the keyless entry option into a `04 Blazer by installing the receiver and buying the pods with matching numbers?. If so would it work after programing or would I also have to have the dealer program it into the computer so it would know its now there?
