I have a Lightbar I want to install on my 97' Blazer 4 door with 4wd option.
I would like to install it either on the top or front bumper.
Would I need to run wires from the light bar to the battery into my cab Into a switch?
I have a current issue where all of my accessories (horn, cab lights, rear hatch button) are all linked to a switch in my cab that I have to turn on to use any of them, would I have to link the bar into that or could I somehow run wires another way so that single switch doesn't have to control everything extra?
seeking help gratefully from fellow blazer owners to help me figure this out.
I'd probably run a separate circuit for your light bar using a relay circuit. That way you can keep the larger diameter wires that supply power to the light bar in the engine compartment and only will need smaller wires to connect the button to the relay that will close the main switch for the main power for the light bar.
There are lots of web links on how to set up relay circuits that can help you with the details.
