Default Lights Out!! No Lights Help

Okay, got a 2000 S series Blazer 4 door 4x4.. Lights have flickered off a couple times in the past but come right back on.. Now they completely went off but the weird part is.. the high beam indicator is on.. clicking to high / low they work on low.. but.. the high beam indicator stays on no matter whether its on hi / lo.. I think this has the 4 bulb system but not certain of that.. kind of odd to have blown both bulbs at the same time? but I might see if I have a extra bulb around to test to be sure it's not.. Which I doubt since I've had then go off randomly a couple times over the past few months.. And why would the hi beam indicator stay on for both high or low? It does have the daytime running lights.. they seem to work..

Any one ever have something like this? Any tips or suggestions?

One thing to note... At some point before I owned it.. someone added one of those aftermarket starters.. I'm not a big fanatic about these and the way most places install them.. possible issue?

Try checking the ground wires, and/or replacing the multi function switch.

Here's some other ideas;

Thank you for all the info, we are now working on some of these ideas and trying to resolve the issue.. We have the dash torn down a bit and found the relay box.. cannot figure out which relay is for the headlights as there is no diagram on the box cover. but we'll just test them all or just replace them, LOL

Thanks again,
Kevin

Just wanted to update this... it appears to me that just the headlight bulbs themselves was blown.. Odd that they both went at the same time.. He had the thing shut off on him a couple times in the past but pull off the road and start right back up.. and normal.. anyway.. he got to looking and at some point someone put a aftermarket remote starter on it. and the wires was just twisted and taped.. then he run across some other crappy hacks.. so he took the dash and everything out, removed the remote start stuff and soldered the wires up nicely.. Things seem to be working correctly now.. By the way.. the heater core was going bad.. so he did all that stuff too while he had it apart.. Should be good to go for a while now I hope.

Thanks again,
Kevin

I advise you to view thissite headlightsize.com/ On it you will find a lot of interesting information about the size of the bulbs
