Here are the pics... In the photo the covered wire that runs into the bigger harness is where the pug is coming from

i cant see, im blind in one eye can't see out the other lol. check for a plug in right in the middle, front of the engine, on the radiator hose pipe flange. i have the opposite problem, never have found the plug in that goes there on my bravada. i cant see the plug very good in your picture so im taking a guess on your plug. it has the same shape as the receiving end on my bravada, but its a 98 model so yours could be different. don't know what its for really, as my temp gauge works, as do all gauges, maybe has something to do with the air conditioning system. hope this helps you, im still looking in case it doesn't.

It looks like the blue connector that plugs into the ac compressor.

There's a plug underneath the distributor cap, on the back side. Did you plug that in? That's all I can think of.

Ya when I look at the pictures the one going to the ac compressor always gets me but I have that one plugged in. That one is a 4 pin its a lot wider than the one I am trying to find. I know the distributed one is plugged in .

The plug and wire comes out of the larger harness right behind the upper intake it's about 2 1/2 ft long so it could reach a couple different areas. It has a plastic clip on it where it goes into a bracket but I don't see where
