My blazer is reading the wrong outside temperature?!
Hello,
I have a 96 Chevy blazer LS. The thermostat/compass is always reading 121 degrees Fahrenheit...
What do i do? How can I solve this problem?
Thanks

There are a few things you can do, you can reset it, which would involve holding down both buttons for a few seconds until it is reset. if that does not work, check the connection on the temp sensor (right behind the grille, the center post on the core support (middle of the truck) if the connector is good, you may need a new temp sensor.
Once you reset it, you will need to calibrate the compass as well. which all you need to do is find drive it around in a circle 3 times until "cal" goes away. I would recommend resetting it in a parking lot, so you can calibrate the compass at the same time.

Okay. I tried the reset. Didn't seem to work, but I have a question.. it was saying VAR when i reseted it and beside VAR it had had numbers that you could cycle through 0-15. I don't know what that is, but I'm trying to find the temperature sensor. where can i find one to replace it? any sites around here?
