Default need help, led tail light bulbs

well i have a 98 blazer i ordered some led tail light bulbs to replace my old reg tail light bulbs now heres the werid part i just plugged them in and they dont work i tried both ways no luck. so i just plugged them in where my white led reverse lights are they work with no problems. so i thought maybe something was messed up so i just plugged my led reverse lights in my tail light socket and they dont work either. now does this mean i need a resistor?

It sounds like you have a wiring issue. I'd check to see if you have power to the bulbs at all first. If not, then check the grounds and go from there.

Ok there is a possibility that you got the CK style bulb, which would cause an issue like what you describe. Here is a diagram that shows how the regular and CK style are different.

This could be the issue. Take a look and see if your bulbs say CK on them somewhere.
