Neon Under Dash
#1
Coming off the failure of my overhead display upgrade attempt, (getting an older computer soon) I decided to wire up some blue neon sticks i had laying around. my question is: is it illegal to drive around with them on? is it like driving around with your interior lights on?

Just an underdash light won't interfere THAT much, and unless it's illegal to drive around with your dome light on I don't see why not...

Two pieces of advice:
1) Yes, in direct answer, it is illegal in many (though not all) states to drive with dome/interior lights on. Additionally, whatever an officer decides presents a "safety hazard" can be a ticket, regardless of actual law.
2) From experience, if the angles are right in your car, you will sorely regret driving around with those on all the time. In the day they can't be seen, but at night they tend to reflect off your floor and onto your windows. My friend's Civic looked like a lounge at night.
So there's my two cents, give or take, inflation adjusted.
