Default no turn signals

2000 s-10 4wd ls. My hazard light switch was jammed since I bought the truck. I saw a post that said you can pull the switch out. I tried that, it popped up and I have hazard lights now and no turn signals. I did not remove the switch. I have to pull the switch up to make the hazards work, push down to turn off. There is no feeling of it being spring loaded. If I move it slowly up and down the left light will blink but the right one stays on. Fuses are good. I have noticed a clicking sound when I am driving, for no apparent reason. That was before I messed with the switch. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can try to replace just the switch itself, but it sounds like the problem is deeper down in the multifunction switch. Check out the Tech Article (DIY) Index link in my signature for a walk thru for both the hazard switch & the complete multifunction switch. PNs are listed as well.

Does the hazard switch connect to the multifunction switch?
