Default Is this normal for a 2004 Blazer

Hi,

I have a 2004 Blazer 4 door LS. It is all original with 23,000 miles. I hardly ever drive it. Lately I have noticed a few things that seem strange. I was hoping to get some feedback from other owners to see if this is normal or if I have an electrical problem.

When i turn the ignition off the guages on the instrument cluster go to their minimum setting. For example the gas gauge will read empty even if their is a full tank. I think that is normal. However, after i shut the door and the interior light goes off, the fuel and temperature gauge go back to their "running" setting. In other words, the fuel gauge shows how much fuel is in the car and the temp gauge will show its temperature. Is that normal. Also, if i play a CD (stock GM stereo), when I turn off the car, it always starts over on track one when i start the car the next time. Every other car I've owned always starts the Cd where it left off when the car was shut off. I am wondering if I have an electrical problem somewhere.

I have always kept the Blazer on a battery tender bcause of the infrequest use. I have a fairly new battery (1 year old). No other work besides oil, filter changes and routine maintenance was ever done. I am the original owner. Maybe it is normal and I never noticed it. Can other owners tell me how their Blazers behave?

Thanks in advance. I tried searching for similar issues but I couldn't find anything.

Bob
