Default Problem with dash cluster lights/gauges

I have a 2000 Chevy Blazer and while driving my gas gauge and temperature gauge will stop working and fall to empty or 0. The seat belt light, air bag light and check gauges light will also come on. And other times the tach and speedometer will flicker, and the gear indicator will not show whether I'm in reverse or drive or neutral. The Blazer runs great and never has any mechanical issues when the cluster acts up. Any ideas? Thank you in advance

I had a 2000 do this occasionally after an engine swap, it was a loose ground on the engine, check your grounds. Of course could be something else.

i give a vote for a loose battery cable at the battery terminal. alternator keeps the vehicle running but causes havoc like truck dying when headlights turned on, or cluster goblins as you have.
