They are soldered into the twist lock bases. You will need to find new ones either at your local parts shop, or a junkyard. You can also buy them from superbrightleds.com

I was hoping you would be the one to answer..lol figured you would know my dilemma.. Well I was able to get one bulb out I used a scalpel blade to separate the soldered wire from the little tabs...I bought leds from a guy on ebay...They are pretty much the type I seen someone had for sale on the forum here in the classifieds a bit ago..I played hell getting the wires into the little slots..But it just seems that the LED unit doesn't hold into the twist lock bases all that great..Is there anything I can use to get them to stay in there...possibly a little dot of lock-tite..I know that stuff seems to be pretty heat resistant..I am going to solder the connections..I just dont want to have the LED fall out when I put my dash back together..Or do you have any suggestions on what will hold the LED`s in good? The LED`s I got are the 5 SMD wide angle wedges...only difference from superbriteleds site is these have blue base casings... Appreciate it Thogert..

You don't need to worry about heat from those leds, at the base anyway. You can use any kind of glue/ epoxy as long as you don't bridge the contacts with anything conductive.
