Projector headlights that aren't so "flashy"...
So does anyone make some projector headlights for the 98+ Blazers that are not all flashy looking with halos and all that nonsense, something that looks like it could have been a factory option?
I'd pay for a set to throw some HIDs into, my only other option really is to by some factory looking ones just with clear lenses and retrofit them, but I'd hate to dig into a brand new set of headlights...
Personally, this is just too much for me... Nothing about it matches the lines on the front of the vehicle...

These are not as bad, I'm just not a fan of the halo ring...

Dont put HID's in those... Those are made for halogens. No matter what the seller says that you can put HID's in there, the light will get thrown around like a child spinning around throwing sand.
Your only option would be to get those, and retrofit some actual HID projectors in there, and dont put a halo.

Blazer, do they make those with a chrome backing and not black? Those don't look bad at all! And where are you finding them, I cannot dig those up anywhere online/

He posted the wrong picture, those are for a different car. The part number for it brings up the same ones you posted in your second picture just in black instead of chrome.
And by "those" he means any aftermarket projector available. None of them are meant for HID lighting. You need to retrofit to use HID (without being a complete a**hole to everyone else on the road) no matter what housing you get.

ah okay...
may just go the route of ordering some clear lens headlights and retrofitting them
like this style

I retrofitted the headlights on my last truck, a Toyota Tacoma, and there's just no comparison to light output between stock reflectors and projectors with HIDs...

Morimoto Mini H1's from TRS
Might even consider using them again for the Blazer. Pulled some bixenon projector assemblies, ballasts, and bulbs, out of a couple Acura TL's at work, but they're HUGE, not sure they would fit in the Blazer headlights... the Morimoto Minis were, as the name implies, pretty darn small. Easy to install into a headlight that has plenty of depth like the Tacaoma's headlights, but not sure it would be as simple on the Blazer, but I might just get lucky
The very back where the bulb goes in is threaded and you just pop the headlight apart and slide the projector in from the front with the threaded collar going through the hole where the factory bulb comes into the headlight and then from the back thread on a lock nut to hold the projector to the factory reflector bowl. On the Tacoma that's an H4 bulb, much larger diameter than the 9006 low beams in a Blazer or S10, so that would definitely take some widening to even get the threaded collar to slide in, but even then I'm not so sure the light assembly is deep enough for the entire projector to fit inside the light... Maybe eventually I will find out

Yeah they're not that hard when you can just mount them with no cutting like in the Tacoma headlight lol, but doing a little more interweb research, it doesn't look like that's possible with the shallow headlights on these trucks. Looks like a little has to be removed from the back of the reflector bowl where the bulb goes in to let the projector sit in far enough to let the lens go back on without interference.
This is basically exactly what I want to do, only without the black background... I would want all chrome. Although I'm not a fan chrome, I'd worry about pulling them back apart later maybe and blacking them out if that's the route I decided to take the truck in
