Quadbeams

that should help you figure out what your options are.

as far as the ahl system...i disabled mine once i did the hid and quadmod...what happened is the ahl system would turn on the lights then when i started the truck it would screw up the hid system...i guess its the voltage flux they dont like....
i found there are ways around it like engaging the e-brake then release it...i figured if i am gonna do that i might as well disable the ahl and use the switch on the dash for the lights.

up to you i guess and what you want to do with it.

i had read that post before so i knew the way to do it. i was jjust trying to figure out why people disable the ahl when it is a nice feature if you are a person who will walk at night and then get in your car and forget to turn on head lights. i do it often also in the morning when i go to work. if those bad boys didnt turn on by themselves i would forget lol

I don't disable the ahl because I'm used to put the parking brake on every time I park, I have hid's and noticed that there could be a problem when u start the truck and the ahl kicks in because my sister drove it one day and did not put the parking brake on but if you do use the parking brake the ahl won't activate until you release the parking brake and no problem turning on the hid's

Copied that to your photobucket account did ya. LOL
Here's the full res copy of the 2000 non-zr2 headlight wiring schematic I pulled together from 4 separate schematics & marked up a very long time ago (click on the thumbnail) in case there are parts you can't read:

Here's a more condensed version of the above (different source) that prints out well on a single 8.5x11 sheet, but doesn't have the logic table included in the schematic above:

lol yup then added it as a thumbnail instead. It opens up bigger & clearer than inserting a huge picture that takes up too much space.
