I have a 1997 Blazer and I recently got the HID kit I ordered from ddmtuning
now i'm thinking I should've went with hidextra. But anyway the kit said it was 35 watt 8000K bulbs but I believe they sent me 6000K. My question is do 8000K bulbs come with a blue film on them or are they clear?

There should be no film on any HID bulp the color temp is a funcion of th degrees and light spectrum. The brightest HID is right around 4500K as the temp increases the color changes and the amount of lumins diminish.

8k should have a slight blue tint to them

They'll also have to burn in. They'll get darker in time. Mine weren't as blue new as they are now

I have ddm tuning 8K in my truck and they start off white and turn more blue after warm up. I'm going to buy a new set and get 6K just because i prefer the pure white look

Ugg... I hate 8k's.
It could be that the bulbs have to burn in as stated, you're not giving them enough time to warm up before hopping back in the truck and driving off (we have all admired our HID's after first installing them lol). Or DDM messed up your order and sent you 6k's. If you did indeed get 6k's I wouldn't be too upset about it since you'll have better light output with the 6's.
