Default Re-wire

So, Im at a loss, I've researched the interwebs and still cannot find the solution.
I have an 86 K5 Blazer. Friday night my Headlights and accessory lights just stopped working. I spent all day Saturday pulling my dash apart and could not find the issue. Yes, I did check the fuse's, I thought maybe it was grounding out under the dash somewhere due to the rats nest and "redneck" wiring job.
I then searched online high and low for a wiring diagram for the lights. I found things I could work with that give me a quick fix for the time being (yes, even more 'redneck' than it already is). So, now I am going to be starting a project to rewire the headlights-high/low beam/taillights/ turnsignals / and trailer lights. I was hoping someone can throw a diagram out there I can use to rewire this. Big issue is dealing with the alternator.. I have a rough idea how to do this but a diagram would put things to rest.

**My background: self-made mechanic can tear most things apart and put back together(with no extra parts!). I'm a computer geek, with a lot of experience in electrical systems, just would like someone more car savvy to assist me in this.** Thanks
