Rear Wiper
You can move my rear wiper arm 360° either direction. The last month or two you would hear a ticking noise coming from the wiper motor and to get it to stop I’d have to move the switch from off to on and then back off. It would do this constantly and I ended up just pulling the fuse for the rear wiper. Will replacing the wiper motor fix this issue and get the wiper working again? Prior to pulling the fuse if I had turned the wiper on it would move up an inch or two however it would stop there and then it would not return back to resting spot. I just want to get the wiper fixed for winter.
It sounds to me like possibly the wiper shaft is sticky or seized. Before replacing the motor, repairing the existing motor would be worthwhile.
Remove the motor and disassemble the case. If I recall it is held together with Torx screws. Set the case on a vise and drive the wiper arm shaft out with a hammer. Clean and lubricate the shaft and reassemble. If it is rusty it can be sanded lightly, and the shaft can be lubricated with anti-seize.
