Remote repair
So the remote for my alarm decided to stop working one morning, tried everything, took it apart, tried adjusting (new) battery, nothing worked. I had to drop my girlfriend off, so there i was driving around with my alarm going off, very embarassing
finally after a while it decided to work once, and it disarmed.
I got home and i noticed where the battery makes its connection to the board had a little crack, so took the metal piece that the battery sits on and over lapped the connection to the board about 1/16th" and put a dab of rosin core solder on it. pressed the button and it works everytime.
but heres the thing, when the remote gets cold it no longer arms/disarms the alarm and the blue led on the remote is very very dim, but still lights up when you push the button. Let it warm up and it works fine. So it being winter here I dont trust this thing anymore, dont wanna get stuck driving with an alarm going off
any ideas on what it could be?
And 1 more question, will disconnecting the battery even shut it off in case it happens again? or will it just set off again when you reconnect the battery? or is this model dependant?

try replacing the battery again. and assuming your alarm system is factory then killing the battery should kill the alarm. look for a relay going to your main horn and remove the relay to kill the annoying alarm if you were to set it off.
