Carr makes light bars, you have to get the kit that will bolt in the door frame to mount it.

I have the roto-bar I need to get off my lazy bum and put on mine. I agree with not liking the look with them on the factory roof rack.

Carr does not make the kit for the 2nd Gen. Blazers. I had to order a kit and modify it to make it work when I mounted my Carr light bar. I also like a light bar better than roof rack mounting.

do you have the roof rack? sun roof? I was going to get a light bar but it would have been right above my sun roof. So I decided to drill holes in the roof rack and mount the lights on there instead.

if you want some more pictures or details how I did it I can post some more pictures and details

There are many light bars. You would have to go search and see what other vehicle has the same dimensions between the doors and front windshield. Its too bad they don't make one for second gens.

On the Carr light bar, the center bar where the lights mount, has to be measured out and cut down to the length that fits your truck. As far as my modification, all I had to do was grind @ 3/16" off the bottom of the gutter mounts in order to get the screw holes to hit on a good, flat surface. It was real easy and quick. I have used a Carr light bar on every truck I've had and I love them. Very good product, IMO. Just hold the side mounts up in the proper locations, measure across, divide measurement in half, transfer that dimension to center bar (measuring from center in both directions), mark, re-measure (measure twice & cut once), cut to length, bolt light bar together, and install. Actually really easy. I am very pleased with mine.

In that pic of the lightbar above, does it look a little high(space between lightbar and roof) to anyone else or is it just the angle that the pic was taken? Looks like a decent product otherwise.
