I have a 2000 chevy blazer 2wd the speedometer and odometer are not working ive replaced the cluster and the vss because i was told it would be either of those. Now that i have tried both options and its still not working im turning here so any info would be greatly appreciated

 

thinking maybe it could be a wire coming from the vss to the computer

 

i had this problem on my GMC Sierra,i replaced the cluster and the vss i sent it into the shop because i was fedd up with it after about 3 months and a speeding ticket.. The Mechanic told me it was a Solenoid on the transmission. not sure how honest he was tho. Hope this helps.

 

does your cruise control work? If not, put ohmmeter on pins 29,30

 

yes the cruise control does work everything works just like it should. besides the speedometer and the odometer.

ductapeguy how much did they charge you for that?

 

*Then the problem is not between the transmission and PCM.

Check PCM C4 {black conn} pin 4 drk grn through c203 pin E11 to cluster conn A4. Dark green all the way.
NOTE: If you have aftermarket radio check to see someone didnt screw with the drk grn wire in radio harness {no idea why it goes there} see the simple diagram

 

it was around 210 dollars. but i honestly think the canadian tire mechanic ripped me off.

 

Is your speedo working now?
