Unhappy steering column problems/ grounding? idk

ok gentleman, first a disclaimer...i searched and manually went through the first 25 pages and still havnt found out what i need. so im in the middle of a build that been ongoing for a while.

current problem...i dont know wtf is going on...lol
1. drivers side locks doesnt operate all the time
2. windows dont work...sometimes
3. wont start....gets power, you can hear the fuel pump go, but nothing when you turn the key to start
4. now the hazard and blinkers dont work at all
5. for a moment...radio didnt work either
6. parkingbrake light is on
7. headlights dont work sometimes

...wtf

a. i have 2 batteries wired up now
b. i checked all fuses, and all bulbs...all work
c. i have electronic flashers in, both heavy duty 2 different brands
d. i have led everything....tail lights, reverse lights corner lights and running lights
e. i recently pulled the dash, dropped the steering column to remove it and painted it, along with that i unplugged all the connections under it, and plugged them back in afterwords...thats when the ignition started to not work and hazards/turn signals stopped working all together
f. new headlight switch
g. new multifunction switch

im thinking that the steering column is a ground itself or something, otherwise idk wtf is going on? anyone have any ideas? my problems have to b a ground or grounds somewhere that just suck

What is it you're working on? If people don't know what you're working on they can't offer specific advice/thoughts.
If it's a 2nd gen blazer/jimmy the symptoms you described are very close to an issue I had while having the engine replaced. Someone forgot to hook up the ground UNDER the fuse panel under the hood. All the fuses, relays etc tested good for + but when I said my dash lights, head lights, fuel guage etc etc weren't working a bulb went off in our heads at the same time - FUSE BOX GROUND! Testing the fuses etc you have the tester hooked up to a ground so naturally they test OK lol. But not having their OWN ground - they're useless/dead.
I'll agree it sounds like a ground issue & one that's common to the things affected, so I'd check grounds at fuse boxes, chassis mounts etc. All the ground connections fore & aft of a fuse box & check for continuity in the ground wires as well.
It's so easy to bump a wire or forget to hook one up or even tighten it after just hand tightening to place it during a rebuild.
