Nobody makes real projectors for ours unfortunately. If you want real ones, you can do your own (also called a retrofit), or you can swap out your front clip to that of a 98+ blazer. I did a simple retro on mine with the Morimoto Mini H1 projectors from theretrofitsource.com and a pair of aftermarket H4666 to H4 housings (found on ebay).

i got a pair of them h4 housings from ebay the other day. did you have to bake them to get apart? and how is the lighting after puting the h1 projectors in?

BI-XENON: MORIMOTO MINI H1 5.0 are these the ones that you used? if so how did you put them in did you use mounting brakets or opoxy or both? thank you for your time

The ones I got had a really soft sealant so I just cut the sealant out and pried to get the lens off. The lighting is unreal in terms of how wide the beam is and the high beam was also amazing.

Yes, I used the older version, but they are essentially the same. I mounted them using the H4 adapter washer that they come with, which held the projector well outside where the lens would go so I didn't even put the lens back on (I don't recommend this).

You can try to use brackets to mount them, but the space you have to work with is so small it would be really tough to get it right. Not to mention the amount of cutting that would be required to get it to sit inside the lens. I believe you would also need to cut a little off the bracket that mounts the H4 housings to the core support.

If I wanted to do it right, I'd just use epoxy and make sure that you have it almost perfect in terms of rotation. You can use the adjusting screws to aim them side to side, and up and down. I would epoxy them on the truck, just 2 or 3 dabs of epoxy (like tacking a piece of metal in place to hold it there) and have the truck facing a wall so you know that the rotation is where you want it. Let the dabs of epoxy dry, make sure they are still in alignment, and if they are, pull them out of the truck and cake the epoxy on to hold them in place and seal them from the elements.

been working with a friend on his 2000 blazer 4.3L Vortex 4x4. he started with HID for the hi/beams with relay, ballast and canceller. they would work but switching to hi/beam the lo/beams would go off. then went to all HID's same deal,lo/beams would turn off when hi/beams were activated. he wanted all (4) to work on hi/beam. we got that to happen by building a new harness and adding another relay, pulling 12V (fused) straight from the "Batt" (note: there are no cancellers in the circuit anymore). that worked for about 2days,then the ballast started randomly failing? now we're trying trying to go to halo projectors that are a direct install to the OEM harness(so they say). he's using 100w lamp lo/beam and 55w lamp hi/beam,that's how they came pkg to him. now the right side hi&lo/beam,LED's prk/trn and haz work. the left side lo/beam,LED's,prk/trn&haz work but no hi/beam. the bulb test good,no fuse's blown, tried with DRL in over-ride and in DRL mode. same out come. Any idea's folks? i'm running low on them...thanks. KJ
