Default Truck swap

I understand some of you guys are going to say don't do it. But anyway here is were I am at. I have a low mileage rear wrecked 2002 s-10 blazer. A little over 93,000 miles 4.3 l 6 automatic. And my plans are to carefully remove the total body sheet metal. leaving everything else, including the main and engine wiring. Replacing the blazer body with the cab and sheet metal from a 1950 Chevrolet 1/2 ton. Most everything will remain the same. With a few changes like he ac , steering column and gauges. I know the s-10 computer will have to be reworked. And I am not worried about fabrication of the frame to the 1950. I am fair with rewiring. But still I am not sure what problems I will run into on the wiring. I think most of the blazer wire unplugs, And a lot of the wiring I will not need. Like the thief stuff , air bags ,power windows, and etc. I was thinking if I could just use the blazers engine/trans harness. Like a stand a lone. Then the rest of the electrical to the car, like lights , radio , wipers and etc. Be on a separate harness and fuse box. I know it sounds like a lot of work , but I am sure it wont be that bad. Ending up I will have the looks of a 50 chevy p.u. with the ride of a s-10. Beside easier to get parts from the local parts house. I was figuring I use everything from the blazer including the fuel tank , fuel pump , brakes , axles , driveshaft etc. What's your thoughts guys ? Have you or do you know of anyone that has done a swap similar to this ? I guess first thing I need to find is a good blazer service Manuel. That has wiring diagrams . A color one would be great. make things a lot easier.
Sorry for the long post. but thanks for reading it, And any help you may offer.
