Trun Signal Flasher

where is the trun signal flasher located on a 1997 S10 Blazer ? on my 98 its behind the glove box , but a friend of mine says his 97 is not the same and uses the round style of flasher

it should be behind the glove box, and round style, i thought that was only old school cars.
