I have 7 "KC look-alikes" blazer baha 6" 100 watt halogen bulbs, stock fogs (55 wat halogen) and HID's in the highs and lows. HID off road lights are crazy expensive, and LED's are bright up close thats about it. those blazer baha's you can get for $20 a light at advance auto and walmart, and they are just as bright as the KC's which are $100 for a pair.

here is what they look like all on.

I have four Harbor Freight lights mounted on top of my 95. 100 watt bulbs in each

Here are all four light on. The closest circle is the center two lights. Those are my "rock spotters" And the farthest bit of light is the outer two lights; My "deer spotters". (They have saved me many times)

And this is with my rewired (with relays & 10ga wire) high beams and the outer two lights of the light bar.

Regular paint or high-heat paint? I would think they get pretty hot.

I have a pair of those out in the shop. I haven't decided where to put them. When I got them, the plan was to mount them on the front bumper in front of the grille, but they would look funny there without a brushguard or something.

I thought about black paint, but I didn't know how well it would stick to the chrome.

Where did you pick up your light covers?

Benedict1337 04-01-2011 10:57 PM

I got my light covers at pepboys. spray on bed liner works well on those. just make sure you sand the crap out of them. and those lights are bright! don't underestimate them
