Default Where does this belong?

So I replaced my heater core in March, which was a blast, and now it's inspection time, and apparently the computer won't communicate with my blazer. (99 2-door chevy blazer ls, stock engine, drivetrain, etc) The mechanic said that his computer scanner majig didn't even recognize that a car was attached.

However, when i did the heater core replacement, and reassembled my dashboard, i did have 2 electrical connectors that I couldn't find a home for.

They are both relatively close to the hook-up for the computer, underneath the steering wheel.

Below, the first image is a 4-pin connector that is set up in a grid formation, and it appears that it returns to the main channel of wires that runs the length of the dash horizontally.

The other connector is also 4-pin, but they are in a straight line, and is underneath a large connector of wires.

Any help that you can give would be greatly appreciated.

P.S., my temperature selector control does not appear to be working either, which may or may not be related. (and yes, i have checked to make sure it was plugged in. i forgot to do so when i changed the heater core in my last car, but not this time!)

edit: in the 3rd picture below you can see both wiring harnesses. the one my finger is pointing to is the grid setup one, and near the steering column is the other

Don't know the plugs off hand but check your fuse for the cigarette lighter for the no communication issue. 99% of people running the emission machine know to when a GM especially won't communicate but about 75% of them won't put forth the effort.

thanks nunya. i believe that. i just took it to a mechanic down the street (who isn't licensed for inspection, but makes a living off of working on cars as a small business) who was going to make sure tires, check engine light, and all that other stuff was good before inspection. He didn't ask for money this time around, maybe i'll take it back to and see if he can put some effort into it.

I spent about a half hour today searching around but to no avail

ill try that tomorrow
