Default Where does Crank position sensor power come from?

I have a '96 blazer. It just died. Crank sensor was tested and on the bottom lead it's getting 8 volts. Not zero - 5 when you turn the engine by hand like it should.

Anyone ever heard of this before?

My question is, where does he crank see sensor get it's power from? The computer?

Any help would be appreciated.
