which wire is which on back lights
I had a electrical short somewhere and my running lights do not work so i have to rig up at least my tail lights to be on a switch so the running light part of them work... so people can see me.
i got my back light off but i do not know which wire is the one to turn on the running lights.
there is a yellow, brown, and a black going to the bulbs.
can anyone help me out? i just need to know what does what so i can set up my switch and drive at night!
thank you so much!... really sorry about any spelling!

I wish I could remember from wiring my tail lights in. If you have a wire tester that's always the easiest way to tell.

On my 2001 blazer it is the brown wire on the right rear side that powers the running/tail lamps. The brown wire switches to brown-white as there is a connection plug for the right side just inside the plastic trim panel on the inside of the vehicle near the right side lens assembly.
